Big adventures start
with little wings.

New friends. Kind role models. A little confidence taking flight. Meet the younger girls getting ready for their next chapter.

She doesn’t have to wait
to feel she belongs.

A Jobie-to-Bee is a girl who isn’t old enough to join Job’s Daughters yet—but can start getting to know the people and the fun.

Bees have opportunities for friendship, teamwork, service, and new experiences, with older Daughters to look up to.

A friendly first hello.

Meet girls outside her school and begin with shared activities. There’s no need to arrive knowing everyone.

Older girls to look up to.

Get to know the Job’s Daughters who may one day become her fellow members. Let encouragement make something new feel familiar.

A little room to grow.

Try teamwork, practice helping others, and enjoy experiences that make her curious about what comes next.

By ten, she can already know the girls.

The Bee program can make the transition into Job’s Daughters feel like a new chapter with familiar faces. Joining JDI at ten is a separate step, with its own eligibility and application process.

A parent’s guide to the buzz

What to ask before her first visit.

What is a Beehive?

A group of Bees connected with a local Bethel is called a Beehive. The adult who coordinates it is often called the Bethel Beekeeper. Ask whether the Bethel near you has an active Bee program.

Can parents come?

The official Bee brochure encourages parents to attend. Contact the local Beekeeper to learn how your family can participate and what to expect.

What age can she start?

The current JDI website lists ages 8–9. Older promotional materials use different age wording. Confirm the current California and local program requirements directly with the Bethel.

What activities are available?

Local programs vary. Ask about upcoming activities, adult supervision, costs, meeting frequency, and which events are suitable for younger girls.
